Scholarships

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Nationality: Non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport.
2. Educational Background:

   • Master’s: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
   • Doctoral: Master’s degree or equivalent.
3. Language Proficiency:
   • For programs taught in Chinese: HSK Level 4 or higher (Level 5 or 6 preferred for some programs).
   • For programs taught in English: TOEFL (≥80) or IELTS (≥6.0), unless prior education was in English.

Application Procedure

1. Online Application:
   Submit an application through the Beijing Normal University International Student Application Portal.
2. Required Documents:
   • Academic transcripts and graduation certificates.
   • Personal statement and research proposal (for graduate applicants).
   • Two recommendation letters (for graduate applicants).
   • Passport copy and a recent passport-sized photo.
   • Language proficiency certificates.
3. Application Fee:
