Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Nationality: Non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport.
2. Educational Background:
   • For undergraduate programs: High school diploma or equivalent.
   • For master’s programs: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
   • For doctoral programs: Master’s degree or equivalent.
3. Language Proficiency:
   • Programs taught in Chinese: HSK Level 4 or higher.
   • Programs taught in English: TOEFL (≥80) or IELTS (≥6.5), unless the applicant’s previous education was conducted in English.

Application Procedure

1. Online Application: Complete the application through the Tsinghua University International Student Application Portal.
2. Required Documents:
   • Academic transcripts and certificates.
   • Personal statement and research proposal (for postgraduate applicants).
   • Recommendation letters (usually two).
   • Language proficiency certificates.
   • Passport copy and a recent passport-sized photo.
3. Application Fee: Non-refundable fee of RMB 800.

Scholarships
